Cascade Dijon is an artificial waterfall you will also find in the castle park. It was constructed in 1885 and a lovely sight to behold from below and above. Currently, the waterfall is sustained by the Vésubie valley waters.

The Ruins of Castle Hill

Some of the ruins of the past are revealed in this park, be it citadel or cathedral. You will see archeological digs as well as Roman relics that will make you visit more fulfilling.

 

How to Get Tickets

You don’t need a ticket to visit Colline du Château, as French call it, the admission is free of charge. You only need to come along with some cash to get food and drinks during or after your tour. There are some little cafes on top of the hill.

There are steps on the eastern part of the hill and if you don’t want to walk, you can take the elevator. It is free to use the elevator. When you are at the top, you can take the available tracks around the park for more exploration.

If you want to get the best views of the city, you can fix your trip in the morning or evening. The opening times are 8:30-18:00 from 01/10 to 31/03 and 8:30-20:00 from 01/04 to 30/09.
