The Esterel Massif is a low-lying volcanic mountain range of 32,000 hectares, located on the Mediterranean Sea. It covers the south-east of the Var, with a small part in the Alpes-Maritimes, in France. “Even for those who have seen Switzerland and Savoy, it is a beautiful thing that the mountain is covered by the dark greenery of the Esterel. The Alps die here with dignity. – Victor Hugo
The castle of Mandelieu La Napoule was built in the 14th century by the Counts of Villeneuve on the seaside road, the castle and its gardens have been listed as historical monuments since January 1947 and the park is labelled “Remarkable Garden”.
The commune is located to the east of the Esterel massif, of which it is situated on the foothills, as well as to the west of the bay of Cannes.
A real natural attraction. The Corniche d’Or is a site of incomparable beauty that remains one of the must-sees of the French Riviera!
