7 Fun Ways to Spend a Sunday Night in Paris

Sunday night in Paris is a magical time to be in the city. The streets are quiet, and there’s a feeling of calm that can’t be found during the rest of the week. It’s also a great time to check out some of the best things to do on Sunday nights in Paris.

While it may seem like there isn’t much going on at first glance, there are actually many options for fun activities on Sunday nights in Paris. You can go to one of the many museums around town or try something new like visiting an art gallery or taking an architectural tour. If you’re looking for something more relaxing than an activity, consider checking out one of the many parks throughout Paris—there are many that have events or activities going on every day and night!

So if you’re looking for activities and ideas to spend a Sunday night in Paris, we’ve got a few ideas for you.

Parc des Buttes Chaumont.

First of all, take the metro out to Parc des Buttes Chaumont. It’s an amazing park with a waterfall, an artificial lake, and an old quarry that’s been turned into a swimming pool. You can rent paddleboats and rowboats there (make sure you bring your own life jacket) or just wander around and enjoy the scenery. The park is open from 8 am until 11 pm every day except Tuesdays when it closes at 7 pm. It’s free!

Bike along the Canal Saint-Martin

If you want something a little more active, try biking along the Canal Saint-Martin on your way back into town. You can rent bikes at Jardin du Luxembourg (the garden behind the museum) or near Bastille – both locations charge about 20 euros per day and have lockers available to store bags while you ride around town.

Visit a museum

If you’re looking for a cultural activity to do on Sunday night in Paris, your options are endless. Late-night and even all-night opening hours enable visitors to view works of art, with perhaps fewer crowds. Here are three museums that are open late:  Centre Pompidou (11 am – 9 pm); The Foundation Louis Vuitton (11 am – 8 pm) & the Palais de Tokyo which is open all year long, until midnight.

Show time: Opera or Theatre

You could also take in a show at one of Europe’s most famous opera houses like Opera Bastille or Theatre du Chatelet. If you’re interested in seeing some live music then check out one of Paris’ famous cabarets like Le Lido or Crazy Horse Saloon. Enjoy a concert at the Philharmonie de Paris, which is located near Les Invalides. The venue has an excellent acoustical system and hosts concerts by international artists. The concert series runs from September through June, so there’s always something to see.

If you’re looking for some live music, check out the Opera de Paris at 17 rue Scribe. They have performances every night of the week and also offer great deals on tickets when purchased online. If you’re looking for concerts or other performances while visiting Paris on a Sunday night, there are plenty available! Some of them even go all day long into Monday morning!

Check out Le Grand Rex and Le Petit Journal Montparnasse if you want live music; these places always have something happening every night they’re open (with shows starting around 8 pm).
