The exclusive ‘Free walking tour of Nice’ around the old town is one of the city’s main attractions. An absolute must see for any visitors! Nice Old Town (known locally as Le Vieux Nice) is a lovely honeycomb of narrow streets, dotted with beautiful baroque churches, shops and restaurants. It’s a hive of activity with vibrant squares buzzing both day and night.
The tour is conducted in English and runs every day all year Long. The tour starts at Massena Square Fountain at 11H00. With our impressive Statue of Apollo standing in the centre of it, you can’t possibly miss it! Plus, our guide wears a red T-Shirt and can also easily be spotted. The tour lasts around 2 hours and will end on the top of our famous Castle Hill.
The free walking tour of Nice takes you past the Massena square fountain an into the Cours Saleya market. Along the way, you’ll pass through the Opera House and Rossetti square. As well as the narrow pedestrianised streets of the Old Town before making the trek up Castle Hill.Don’t forget to take a small bottle of water, sunglasses and a camera. There are toilets in the Cours Saleya which cost 35 cents to use. Whatever you do, make sure to wear shoes you can walk in. Afterall, this is a good walk of the ‘best bits’ of beautiful Nice!
