En GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE – RIVIERA BAR CRAWL & TOURS

Article 1 – Organizer Identity

Article 2 – Scope of Application

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC) apply, without restriction or reservation, to all services offered by Riviera Bar Crawl & Tours. This includes, but is not limited to, public bar crawls, private tours, boat parties, excursions, group transfers, and any other tourist or event activity organized on the French Riviera. Acceptance of these GTC is mandatory and is confirmed by the validation of the booking and payment.

Article 3 – Booking and Payment

3.1 The booking is considered firm and definitive upon receipt of the full payment for the service, or the required deposit for groups and private bookings.

3.2 Accepted Payment Methods: Bank Card (via Stripe), PayPal, Bank Transfer.

3.3 For any group or private booking where the total amount exceeds 300 €, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total amount is required upon confirmation.

Article 4 – Price

The prices of the services are indicated in Euros (€) and are inclusive of all taxes (TTCToutes Taxes Comprises). They include the French Value Added Tax (TVA) at the legal rate in force on the day of the booking. Any change in the VAT rate or the introduction of new taxes will be automatically passed on to the displayed prices without prior notice.

Article 4 Bis – Costs of Additional Services

Any extension of the Services beyond the initially agreed duration, requested by the Client and accepted by the Guide, will be billed immediately or added to the Client’s final invoice, according to the following scale:

  • Guided Tours and Bar Crawls (Guide only):
    • Flat rate of 60 € TTC per guide and per indivisible additional hour.
  • Private Tours, Sightseeing, and Minivan (Guide + Vehicle):
    • Flat rate of 150 € TTC per indivisible additional hour.

Article 5 – Cancellation by the Client – Individual Bookings

(Applicable to public bar crawls and classic excursions)

  • Cancellation received more than 24 hours before the event start time: Full refund of the amount paid, minus a 5 € administrative fee per person.
  • Cancellation received less than 24 hours before the event start time: No refund.
  • Non-attendance (No-show) at the event: No refund.

Article 6 – Cancellation by the Client – Groups and Private Bookings

Applies to bookings of 7 people or more, private tours, and tailor-made services.

Any cancellation or substantial modification must be notified in writing (e-mail) to info@rivierabarcrawltours.com. The date of receipt of the email is authoritative for the calculation of penalties.

  • More than 30 days before the Tour date: Penalty of 50% of the total amount (loss of the deposit). Refund of 50% of the total amount paid.
  • From 15 to 29 days before the Tour date: Penalty of 75% of the total amount. Refund of 25% of the total amount paid.
  • Less than 15 days before the Tour date or No-show: Penalty of 100% of the total amount. No refund.

Any reduction in the number of participants will be treated as a partial cancellation and subject to the above penalties on the cancelled portion.

Article 7 – Booking Modification (Date or Service) – Individual Bookings

Any request to postpone the date or modify the service must be made in writing (e-mail to info@rivierabarcrawltours.com).

  • Individual Bookings:
    • More than 48 hours before the Tour: Free modification, authorized subject to availability.
    • Less than 48 hours before the Tour: The request is treated as a cancellation of the initial booking (with application of the penalties in Article 5).
  • Group Bookings:
    • More than 30 days before the Tour: Free modification, authorized subject to availability.
    • Less than 30 days before the Tour: The request is treated as a cancellation of the initial booking (with application of the penalties in Article 6).
    • Less than 15 days before the Tour: No modification is accepted. Any request is treated as a late cancellation (100% penalty).

Article 8 – Cancellation or Modification by the Organizer

8.1 Riviera Bar Crawl & Tours reserves the right to cancel or modify the itinerary or components of a service in case of force majeure (cf. Article 9) or exceptional circumstances beyond its control (e.g., dangerous weather alert, administrative closure of partner establishments, government restrictions).

8.2 In this case, the Client will be offered the choice between:

  1. a) Postponement of the service to a mutually agreed upon later date.
  2. b) A full refund of the sums paid.

No additional compensation or damages will be due to the Client as a result of this cancellation.

Article 9 – Force Majeure and Extraordinary Circumstances

In accordance with article L.211-14 II of the French Tourism Code, the Client is entitled to cancel their booking without cancellation fees if the execution of the trip or the transport of passengers to the place of departure is significantly affected by exceptional and unavoidable circumstances (e.g., major natural disaster, proven terrorist act, war, declared pandemic with travel restrictions). In this situation, a full refund will be made within 14 days.

Article 10 – Client Liability and Conduct

10.1 The Client undertakes to strictly comply with the safety instructions, rules of conduct, and directions given by the guides or representatives of Riviera Bar Crawl & Tours.

10.2 Access to establishments (bars, clubs) is subject to the discretion of the establishments themselves. Any person in a state of excessive intoxication, exhibiting violent, dangerous, or inappropriate behavior, or not respecting the rules of the partner establishments, may be excluded from the activity immediately and without possibility of refund.

10.3 Legal Age: Participation in any activity involving alcohol consumption is strictly reserved for persons aged 18 and over (official and valid identification required).

10.4 The Organizer declines all responsibility in the event of loss, theft, or damage to participants’ personal belongings occurring during the activity.

Article 11 – Right to Image

By participating in our activities, the Client expressly authorizes Riviera Bar Crawl & Tours to use photographs and/or videos taken during the tour for promotional purposes (website, social networks, marketing material), unless formal and prior written objection is addressed to the Organizer before the start of the activity.

Article 12 – Insurance

Riviera Bar Crawl & Tours is covered by a Professional Civil Liability insurance policy for damages for which it may be held responsible. It is highly recommended that each participant take out individual travel insurance covering cancellation, repatriation assistance, and health costs for the duration of their stay.

Article 13 – Refunds

Any refund due to the Client will be made within a maximum period of 14 days from the date of notification of cancellation, using the same payment method as the one used by the Client during the initial booking (unless explicit agreement from the Client for another method).

Article 14 – Complaints and Mediation

Any complaint relating to a service must be addressed in writing to the Organizer within 15 days following the date of the service concerned.

Article 15 – Applicable Law and Competent Jurisdiction

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale and the resulting contracts are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation, execution, or validity, in the absence of an amicable agreement or mediation, will be brought before the competent courts of Nice (France).
